How is it made. Solar Panel Edition
A solar panel is made of several layers of materials, including a semiconductor material (usually silicon) that is treated with impurities to create a p-n junction. The semiconductor material is then sliced into thin wafers, which are coated with conductive metals to create the electrical contacts on the panel. The wafers are then assembled into a panel with a protective layer on top, usually made of glass or plastic, to protect the delicate cells. The panel is then wired together with other panels to create a solar array, which can generate enough electricity to power homes, businesses, and even entire cities.
